Prachi Desai born on 12th September 1988 in Surat, Gujarat, India, Prachi is a Bollywood actress and Model, She did her schooling from St Joseph Convent, Panchgani till 8th, from ninth grade she continued in Surat, after that she went to Pune for higher studies in Sinhagad College, Vadgaon, Pune.
Prachi started her career with a short modeling woekshop and continued it as a career, she left her studies when she was 17 when she got her first Television break from Balaji Tlelfilms for a Daily soap called ‘Kasamh Se’ on Zee TV,
She went for the audition and was selected for the TV Serial, This show got her fame and after that their was no looking back, She got another short role for popular TV show called ‘Kasauti Zindagii Kay’, she made a special appearance as the former Bani in her first Show Kasamh Se,
Prachi also did dance show on TV called ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ where she won first place amongst the contestants, and was awarded the dancing star of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2. after that she was in news for winning the show after returning back on the show as a wild card entry because of her close friend Ekta Kapoor, but the channel denied the allegations.
She also competed in a tribute show to Jhalak competition called ‘Dard-e-Disco’ on Sony Entertainment Television,
Prachi has been brand ambassador for Goa tourism, Active Wheel, Sofy sanitary napkins, Neutrogena, Pureit water purifier and recently Gili Signature Diamond Jewellery.
Prachi got her first Film break with the film ‘Rock On’ in 2008, which was a hit on box office, Prachi played the wife of Farhan Akhtar, after that she did ‘Life Partner’ in 2009, ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ in 2010 opposite Emraan Hashmi with Ajay Devgan and Kangana Ranaut,
Prachi’s Current projects on floor are ‘Joker’ opposite television actor who also is a Bollywood star now, Rajeev Khandelwal. The movie is scheduled to release in December 2011,
She is roped in with John Abraham for an untitiled film produced by Goldie Behl and directed by director Kapil Sharma, this will be Prachi Desai’s fifth film,
Prachi’s Other films on floor are Ishann, Bol Bachchan and Teri Meri Kahaani.

Prachi Desai (born 12 September 1988 is an Indian film and television actress. Prachi desai starred in the serial Kasamh Se on Zee TV that got her fameShe left Kasamh Se on 15 April 2008 and was replaced by Gurdeep Kohli, after being burnt and drowned in episode 562.Kasamh Se ended 12 March 2009. In the last episode, Prachi Desai made a special appearance as the former Bani. She also did a two day cameo in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, which was aired on Star Plus.
Prachi’s first film was Rock On!! (2008), where she played the wife of Farhan Akhtar. Prachi had to leave her role of “Bani” in Kasamh Se to act in Rock On.Her performance was highly appreciated throughout the film. She got several nominations as debutant including the Filmfare Award. She even won Anandalok Awards as Best Actress (Hindi). Her next film was Life Partner (2009).It didn’t do well at box office but her performance was again much appreciated. “Prachi Desai showed abundant promise in ROCK ON!! and excels in LIFE PARTNER too.
